My name is Austin Lawrence and I am directing Curtain Call’s production of, “The Tempest”. I have been in love with Shakespeare’s text since first being introduced at 14. I am super excited to share my love and passion for this incredible play with the Russian River Community. Shakespeare was the consummate theatrical artists and his plays were meant to be performed and not read. Please come out and see what all the talk is about, running June 10 to 25, 2022 in Monte Rio, CA.
“The Tempest,” is one of Shakespeare’s last plays and reflects all that is best about his skills as a playwright. This is a comedy and a romance that takes place on an unidentified island after the King’s ship crashes there. This play has it all: a shipwreck, magic, unknown creatures, spectacle, music, and the usual host of characters that both entertain and inform. This play has something for everyone! Please come out and see what all the talk is about, running June 10 to 25, 2022 in Monte Rio, CA.
