Coming In September: Love Letters
Love Letters, a play by A. R. Gurney that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Curtain Call Theatre presents:
Love Letters by A. R. Gurney
Directed by: Avilynn Pwyll
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through boarding school and college years — where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school, while Melissa fluns out of a series of “good schools”. Their relationship continues through heart-rending letters and passionate exchanges until many surprising events occur in both their lives and things come to a head.
See this amazing tender and deeply felt play as you empathize with the characters and experience the joys and sorrow, the ups and lows, of two deeply devoted people throughout a lifetime. You will be the better person for it.
