Running November 22 through December 7, The Orchards is a comedy adapted from Anton Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard, a Comedy set in modern-day Sonoma County. Linda Reynolds is the heir of fruit orchards that have been in her family for generations, but her abysmal business sense and poor judgment have run the business in the ground and the property is up for auction in only a few weeks. Dealing with environmental changes, a shifting market, and past-due taxes are beyond her. On one hand, she is advised to sell and build summer vacation rentals, on the other hand, there is concern about how this would affect traffic and create flood and fire zones. A serious subject that allows us to laugh at our human failures.
The Orchards runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM, November 22 through December 7. A recipient of the Creative Sonoma Arts Impact Grant
December 7 is our fund-raising gala. See you here at Curtain Call Theater in Monte Rio.
